Dr. Mekole Wells has been educating under served children in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Baltimore for more than 15 years. Wells is a Racism Strategist and focuses on the urgent need of academic equity for African-American boys and the importance of African-American men teaching in secondary education. Ms. Wells has developed programming for students to give them a voice to be heard in a world where they face constant micro-aggressions and discrimination; she has also developed and taught courses that educate those who can help in the fight against racism and discriminatory practice.

Meet Kelly Wood

As a former APFA certified trainer, Kelly has always aspired to help others set and achieve their personal training goals. This was her primary focus as a small business owner within her Charlotte based fitness studio, that she operated for 12 straight years. Now she is the CEO/Founder of Novella Rotational USA LTD. The Novella Rotational story began over 20 years when the science of rotational training was just beginning to be discovered. Through many years of research and discovery the science has finally been perfected to a level where it can be applied beyond theory and utilized in practice. This new methodology is set to truly revolutionize the way we think about recovery and growth. The body of an athlete is a well-oiled machine that can react in a quality product that is manufactured in the heart of Charleston SC. We promise to continue developing the right muscular and joint stimuli in order to achieve continuous phenomenal results, allowing any athlete senior or rehabilitation patient in need to quickly return to a better quality of life and become the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.

Meet Michael John

Born and raised in the city of Boston, is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he specialized in African Diasporic Studies and Politics. As an undergraduate Michael gained extensive experience in grant writing, securing over $25,000 in funding to support his undergraduate research interests, which lie at the intersection of race, and colonial politics. In addition, Michael has experience in the financial services industry, within the fintech space, where he conducted research on emerging technologies for large financial institutions.

Dr. Tiye Uhura Link, Ed.D.

Tiye Uhura Link has an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership and a MS in Community Counseling as well as an MBA: Tiye is more than half-way through her MDIV program. Tiye is employed at Nashville Cares as the Program Director of Healthy University, a drop-in center for individuals living with HIV, in the Client Services Department, where she is responsible for implementing the goals of Healthy University within the broader context of services to PLWHA; the HealthyU programs assist clients to live and thrive in an atmosphere of empowerment.
Tiye serves as a Minister at the Church of the Messiah in Nashville, TN, where she is the Lead Servant over the HIV/AIDS and Chronic Disease Ministry; The ministry is also a partner with the psychosocial group, Spiritual Connections, at Nashville CARES where the group is spiritual support for PLWHA. Tiye has been involved in community ministry for over 40 years.
Tiye has been employed with Nashville Cares for almost 7 years. Tiye also serves on the Scientific Review Committee for the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and the South East AIDS and Education Training Center (Steering Committee); Tiye also serves on the End the Epidemic Equity Workgroup committee which is in response to the National Strategy for PLWHA. Tiye’s passion and calling is at Nashville CARES and Church of the Messiah, serving the HIV+ population.
